My previous post of a Coaster turned to a Trivet as the cuts were through the piece I didn't think it would make for a very effective coaster.
The scaled up Trivet is a seven inch diameter piece made with a Cherry center and a Padauk ring 3/4" thick.

Wow, that turned out beautifully!
I love the wood selection and the monogram.
Any chance you'd be willing to share the cry file?

Re: Coaster turned Trivet
The vectors were pretty easy to configure however, the files are attached for your use.
Depending on your choice of materials and thickness you should check all the settings and adjust to your preferences.
These worked for me however, I'm pretty conservative on my settings. (Never in a hurry, all I have is time)
I found that with the I.D. on the ring at 5.508" and the O.D. of the insert at 5.500" that was a good fit for gluing the two pieces together.

That looks really nice with the extra touches like the contrasting ring and monogram. Good job.
