And here is yet another variation that might be used sometime. Just loving to play with the Aspire software.

This Paradise Box was delivered to my wife's cousin Becky last evening. It was kept in a tote bag until time to show it off as something I recently made. It took a few seconds for her to realize that her name was on top, and longer still for her husband to notice that the flower design was just like the chair backrest. Only then did they figure out what this visit was about. We had a lot of fun pulling this one on her. Becky and her husband have never seen anything like this gift before, and are very appreciative of it. Another good deed done ....

Now I don't know Becky, but there's sure to be waterworks when she see that keepsake box! Your work on the rocker is beautiful. It has inspired me to work on my grandmother's vanity, which is in terrible shape,
but I believe to be salvageable with a little TLC. BTW, she was born in 1875, and lived most of her life just a little west of your location, in Mebane!!

There are many ways to install the cane weave. Hand lacing, using a woven sheet that you buy by the roll or by the foot, and there are different ways to attach it with a spline or in holes. The easy way is woven sheet and spline. Videos are online that show how. I more or less followed this one.

I like making people happy with the things I can do with the Aspire software. It's a hobby for me, not a business. It's like everything I learned in life has all come together with my CNC hobby work.

who is Michael who created this file ? It is for sale on etsy and I am pretty sure it is not him selling it. https://www.etsy.com/listing/673286376/ ... ck=1&pro=1

Michael Tyler designs a free project for Vectric every month and they publish the files as a "Project of the Month". You can see all of his projects and many others by just logging into your Vectric portal account. He designed the Paradise Box in March of 2011. I'm not sure but I think the box you see on Etsy is an illegal copy.

If the seller is selling Michael Tyler's original CAD files he is in violation of the User License Agreements. A licensed Vectric software user can download the files and make the Paradise Boxes for sale, but cannot sell or give away the CAD files.
