CNC made bench and chair

I have made some prototypes of a bench and chair. I made them in spruce (the black is spruce with General Finishes dye stain). I just wanted to see how the design looked, and how it felt. Designs can look great on paper (or onscreen) but don't deliver on comfort.

I used a corner chisel to square up the corners of the finger joint. I cut the left side first, and found it was a bit too tight, so I widened the joint by 0.001 on each side, and it fit perfectly.

I will modify the chair seat contour. The ridge in the middle is fine if you are sitting up perfectly straight, but becomes a bit...intrusive if you slide forward at all in your seat. The ridge in the bench is much more comfortable.
I cut all the parts on my CNC, and used my Aurio rasps (fantastic tools!) to do some profiling.

Nice designs. Nice seat. I like the bench seat with the bottom profile.

Nice work. I like the artistic design, very eye catching.
