All very nicely done.

I am not sure what the "School to Skies" display is though, looks great, but I am at a loss? Need some edumacashun here.

VERY Nice!!
LIKE how you caught the grain on that top piece....Centered on the pivot pin...and kind of a wrap around :D
What's the dark wood of the base? Aged Jarrah...one of the Rosewoods?
Is that fresh Jarrah on the S2S piece?
WELL Done!!

Just for fun, I’m guessing Oak base for the pivot coin and Spanish Cedar or Mahogany base for the turbine fan item. (Spanish Cedar is in the Mahogany family, so maybe I should just guess “Mahogany”)

So, Both of the pieces used on the coin holder are American oak, the base is burnt oak it is "cooked" in an oven and burnt all the way through interesting stuff.
The base for the School to the skies is mahogany inlay-ed with Malaysian Kauri , school to skies is an program run by the Royal New Zealand Air force which is encouraging young women to join the RNZAF. the below link give more info if you are interested.
