The board is 24x11.25x0.73
Finish pass was with a 1/8" tapered ballnose at 9% stepover
Total machine time for rough, finish, and cutout was 3:43:36

Like it.
Was there a roughing pass?
What was the depth of cut?
Nice job.

Nicely done Randy!

Poplar is downright nasty, makes construction lumber look easy.

The roughing was only about 10 minutes since I limited it to where the finishing bit would be entering and exiting the material. The depth of the model was 0.46".

Randall,

They came out really nice. Any particular reason you used Poplar?

It was cheap and readily available at the big box hardware stores.

Randall,

I use poplar for the same reasons, and I haven't had any real problems like I have seen others post on here. I must be lucky. Horses look great to me. Thanks for posting them.

How do you get the milling time down so low?
Every time I calculate it comes out to about 8 hours.
Thanks

How do you get the milling time down so low?
It is a fast machine, and Gary and I have done a lot of tweaking to optimize 3D work.

I thought that it looked like the Ultimate Dream Machine CNC from your rotary post the other day.

The horses look fabulous.

Congrats.
