Christmas Bow Ties

Post by dseaver »

The attached picture shows a few modifications I made to the Vectric Bowtie project. I added an elastic adjustable strap to secure the bowtie around the neck. I also added a contrasting piece of leather or colorful cloth over the wood round knot. This added leather or cloth secures the elastic strap to the wooden tie while adding contrasting texture and color to the bowtie. One of the ties was decorated with a music graphic. I used the following wood—douglas fir, cherry, white oak. My two grandsons loved the zebra wood ties and wore them throughout Christmas day.
