Which proves one more time that German guys are much more rigorous than French ones as the French version is:Tailmaker wrote:German version: "Twice cut off, still too short"

John, very funny sign!
(I don't believe one second it was a mistake)
Best regards

Re: Shop sign
Seriously John, It's much more effective that way...BUT,
It could be rescued to regular shop sign if you buy some wood softener and a board stretcher.
VERY hard to find on a job site(someone is always asking where it is), but if you go to your best hardwood supplier and ask?
Don't bother with looking for 3D wood stretchers....I believe the Nakashima family has cornered the market for their slabs

(LGM...IF he hadn't finished it, I might have believed it:)

Re: Shop sign
Scott, I have a board stretcher, but it's lost somewhere in my shop I'm guessing with my pencil and measuring tape
I'll have to look into a 3D stretcher, don't have one of those. Thanks for the heads up....

I thought I had a board stretcher, but it didn't work, it twisted it instead.

Re: Shop sign
Hint John...Buy a new Board Stretcher/pencil/tape, and then put them someplace you'll Never forget!!
THAT'S where you'll find your old ones...always works for me
Yep, the 3D model would come in real handy...I could do a 3X5" 3D, and change it into wall art....it would cut machine time WICKED!
Gary, use a little less wood softener and try to locate the source of the torque on your Board Stretcher..Oh, and remove all foreign matter like that speck of blue stuff I see:) Either that or leave it as is and skip buying an indexer?
NICE Doug...think a version of that will be a future project
Nice find Redwood! Think I'll wait till they come out with a model that stretches width as well to eliminate glue ups
