Retirement Seachest

Post by chrisco »

Just wanted to share a commissioned project that I recently finished. I haven't been using Aspire for that long but managed to modify the dive helmet from designandmake and turn it into a 1st Class Dive pin. Everything is made from Jatoba and the models were cut with an Amana tools 1/16 tapered ball nose. The dovetails were cut by hand and all hinges and the mortise lock were done with hand tools. The only thing I did not make were the rope beckets, I sourced those from Etsy. It was a challenge and a pleasure to make this for a friend.

Nice indeed. Can these models be used in V-Carve Pro also? I have a project for my niece.

When you get them from designandmake you get to pick the file type to download.

That is really a beautiful piece, I really understand the honor and feeling of doing a nice piece for a retiring service member. Great job. I'm sure he'll treasure it, and the memories for the rest of his life.
