Desktop Organizer

Post by rcastrap »

My dear friend and colleague just landed her dream job as president of the community college that she attended as a young student. I made her this desk organizer. Walnut with metal inlays and maple plywood. I mostly followed the plans here: https://woodworking.formeremortals.net/ ... g-station/, but used the 90 dome in clip art to curve the front plaque and two-sided machining to make the drawer knobs.

Oops, I meant to say 30 deg. dome for curved front panel. The 90 deg. dome was for the knobs.

Very nice project! I love the contrasting woods, and I'm sure your friend does too! The metal inlays are beautiful.
