bottom model showing through top model

Post by eagle-for »

Hi All,
I have a Design & Make flag model. I am trying to place an eagle on top of it. My flag model is .75 thick, the eagle is .375 thick. My issue is that the stars and stripes are showing through on top of the eagle. I have tried moving the eagle up and down on the
component tree, have made the eagle thicker and added a to the base height of the eagle? I know this is a simple fix, just can't figure it out. I have tried to attach a GIF of the file. Help plz

Have a look at the "combine components" and "component manager" entries in the manual.

You are probably adding components instead of merging them.
Best regards

Maybe you haven't discovered this yet, but there are some great video tutorials at the Vectric website that show how to combine and merge models in various ways, adding base heights, creating "flowing" underlayments (Leaf Moulding tutorial), and so on.

It's a good investment of your time to watch them, plus they are handy reminders for review of features you may not have locked into memory yet.
