Week 8 Project Of The Week

Finally it's not another edgelit for the project of the week.
Another family crest that was cut for a woman my wife works with.
Material: Purple heart 17" x 11" x .875" thick.
Models used were a mix of Design and Make and stock clipart from Aspire.
Rough cut with 1/4" EM. Finishing cut with .0625 Tapered BN.
Font: Drakon cut with 60° V-Bit 1/2"ø
Profile cut with 1/8" EM
Finish 4 coats 2lb cut shellac hand rubber. Lettering hand painted with Ultra Black acrylic paint.
Keyhole was cut in back for hanging.
Fun project and was able to cut a ton of time out of this one by optimizing my toolpath strategy.
The receiver was very pleased with the final result and is looking to have some more work done.
