Just completed a new cutting board for the missus. V-inlay of a bear in the forest in a crescent moon with the cutting board cut in a bear profile with a blood gutter around the profile.
Is done from a glue up of edge-grain walnut with a maple v-carve inlay. Measures about 16" wide by 10" tall but 1 1/4" thick.
Used to do face grain cutting boards but they always tend to warp after a while. Then I started doing edge grain glue ups and so far, after countless washings, they remain true and flat.
She loves it.

Very Nice. Almost would hate to cut anything on it. That scene is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Bear Necessity
Thanks folks. Really like making the cutting boards and just starting to have success with V Inlays. Loving it.
