This my first attempt at the V Inlay technique. For my first attempt I selected “easy silhouettes” of the big-5 of Africa.
It came out okay, but I notice that the fine detail of the tails was not very successful (Buffalo and Rhino) not deep enough with the 60 Deg V bit. Next time I will either do some node editing to get the vectors a little wider or switch to a 30 Deg V bit.

Re: Coasters
Excellent for any attempt, never mind the first!
What are the materials Joz?
Was any detail lost in the sanding?
Post a side by side if you try the 30 degree....I'll probably try a 30 on my next Vinlay if the detail work is there.
