Pretty clever! Sometimes more challenging to make an existing model work for a stand-alone piece like like yours. "Slicing and dicing" can be necessary.

You did a terrific job and the finish "shading" accents really enhance it. Such a beautiful outcome!

Correction - The block of wood was 12" x 12" x 4"
