Making a mold for a City Border stone with a Crest

Post by Ferry Winkler »

It has been a while since i posted something, but i thought you would like this one.
I got a photo of an old city border stone (I do not know how you would name these in English).
The wanted to make these type of stone for an other city wich just got a new crest sign.
These are the old stones:

This is their new crest sign:

Ofcourse i looked if there were any details that are already available in the 3D clipart, but there was nothing or in good enough quality for the 3D rendering i had to make.
Especially the crown was a point of interest. Their are a lot of crown available, but none in this style, wich is strange because these crowns are the types used most often in crests.
First two photo's of the design as it is and then three as the mold:

Ofcourse I could have colored the 3D rendering, but since it was going to be a mold, the client would not be interested in a colored version.
Up to the next project.
