Commemorative plaque I engraved in Marble last night. This was done for a very good friends mother who lost her daughter. The inset oval and graphic is an original pencil drawing the daughter had made after her mother passed.

Material: 12" x 12" x .375" Marble tile.
120° diamond drag bit custom made by a friend in Michigan. Performed flawlessly in this material.

All total an 8 hour run. But worth it for the outcome.
I am currently waiting on some diamond discs to polish the cut edges back out.

With how this turned out I am now ready to move on to some other materials and see what kind of luck I have. I think next up will be porcelain.

Thanks for looking.

I have thought about getting some tiles and giving it a try. After seeing this I will try.
Very nice plaque.

Nice job Dwayne. Like to see the results when you try porcelain. Hopefully, that won't be a bigger challenge. Gary

Thanks for all the kind words.

Martin, thanks for the dust tip. Had not thought about that. Luckily my table is completely surrounded by Lexan but Im sure some could find its way onto my rails.
Will have to vacuum it all up this evening.
