Quick little project I ran off for my Niece's birthday. She has two boys who are growing like weeds and wanted to get it in the house instead of scribing marks on the garage wall.
This actually took longer to finish than it did to cut.
Material 3/4 x 8" x 78" lg Maple
90° V-Bit for all cuts fluting and lettering.
two shellac sealer coats Marsh Spray Ink then sand to bring back the edges.
Finished with 3 coats brush on poly light sand 220 between coats.
Fun little project. And the first time I got to use a tiling toolpath on my machine. Went smooth as silk. I will definitely utilize this more often.

Re: Growth Ruler
Looks like a fun project Dwayne. I remember Mom used a door jam in the kitchen for my growth chart.

Thanks. I figured by the time these kids reach 6 feet 6 inches they certainly aren't going to want mommy measuring them.SteveNelson46 wrote:Nice job. It will be useful as long as they don't grow taller than 6' 6".
