National Patriot

Post by dwilli9013 »

National Patriot plaque I just finished up for a friend that is heavily involved with the Vets Roll project. He will present this plaque to the National Patriot foundation when the Vets Roll entourage comes through our town. Being a veteran myself I feel honored to have been chosen to create this piece. It is incredible what this group does for our veterans.

Material: Old Growth Redwood 14 x 9 x .75 thick.
1/4" End Mill for Roughing pass.
1/16th Tapered Ball Nose for finish pass.
All Acrylic Paints handpainted.
Sealed with 2 lb cut dewaxed shellac prior to paint.
3 coats rattle can poly with light 220 sand in between coats.

Thanks John, No masking just a bunch of tiny tipped brushes and time.
