Puppy-Baby-Monkey Boy! Puppy-Baby-Monkey Boy!
Sorry, I get carried away sometimes. It's puppies in a basket. This is a result of a new embossing stamp pressed into a wallet back. The plate was done in Delrin plastic and cut on the HAAS vertical mill. I didn't include a picture of the plate this time because it is white on white and doesn't photgraph well. But I'm happy with the results.

Beautiful work Nick!

Why did you use plastic?

'cause it's 80% cheaper than brass. and it only has to be stronger than leather to work.
I've always done plastic. I only started on metals this year. this was convienent to do (not my machine and clean up was easier).

Good to know.
How does the plastic hold up to repeated use over time?

In this case quite well. It's mostly solid with the recess of the figure only about 0.12" deep. No real thin lines which would be fragile.
So I'd expect years of use out of this.
