Celtic Dragon

Post by mezalick »

Just a quick piece to show how one design can be treated in different ways.
V-Carve, "Natural" ( even though it's a screen shot ) and something I call "Dressed Up"

And of course,,All done in Aspire ....

Just bought it:)
Pretty hard to separate me from my ill booten gotty, so "Ya done Good!" :)
I bought a Chinese Dragon cut from amber in Tucson in '97 for my friends 20'th birthday that reminds me of your model....
Her 40'th is last day of Sept, and to ease the trauma I think your dragon with me cutting the Opal gems....It'll be PERFECT! :D
Wonderful work and timing Michael!
Thank you,
scott

Michael,
Would you be kind enough to send me an .eps of the wonderful file for VCarving?
Only VCP8.5 here....maybe there's a way to do it, but I haven't found it yet:(

Oh, What was the blue paint used in the dressed up model, and the hold down method?
Thanks again for the wonderful work :)

I will send you the .eps file.
The blue paint is my magical mystical eye popping peacock blue paint......my own creation.
I used tabs for my hold down and screws into the spoil board...

Thanks Michael:)
Reminded me of "Monza Blue" when my '76 R75/6 Beemer was new:)
Thanks on tabs, but probably try my carpet/Duck "no residue" tape method because then I'll have the rest of the Ocooch 4X24X.25" Bloodwood "scrollsaw ready" blank to play with:)

:D
You get second pick after Michael , Leo. :)
I usually do 3 coats of Linseed butter after the overnight....but not enough days left.
I'll have to bring some butter with me(if I can find 10 film canisters or similar), and everybody except Michael will get enough to finish and touch up.
MAYBE Michael will swap secret formulas with me :D
Looking forward to it Leo!!
