I have been following the comments about using coffee grounds and / or crayons as fill for text etc. I decided to try a test which seemed to work out okay. I used some fine grounds for the text and the figure, and for the clay pigeon I used orange crayon. Covered with two coats of water based poly prior to putting in the grounds and the glue as well as the crayon the sealed up with two more coats of poly. Looks not bad for a test run.

Great job Bob!
Did you melt the crayon into the clay pigeon?

Very clear Bob! Are these V-carved toolpaths? What angle?
