Plaque For Newborn

Post by chri879 »

Created this for a friends' newborn son. Created in Inspire. Space shuttle took a bit of trial and error. 3D stars from Design and Make. Wood is African Mahogany with several coats of glossy water-based polyurethane finish and black dye to bring out the letters. Dimensions are 14.5" x 6".

-Chris.

Looks good Chris, like the way you use the dye to help bring out lettering  I would have struggled a bit with the space shuttle as my modelling skills are very basic

I am guessing when you said created with Inspire you actually meant Aspire  Funny enough I still have Inspire pro which was a signmaking program from about 20 years ago, it was the predecessor to Flexisign & cost a small fortune. Don't really use it much anymore as it won't run on an operating system latter than windows 98se
