Wow. They are super cool. You wouldn't have a picture of them before painting?. What size are they and how long did they take to machine.
Its all about the finish and you have done a fantastic job of that, cnc art is really cool. They really draw you into them (maybe its just me).
Unlike a say stretched canvas print these seem more tactile and project the image more. love it, love it, love it.

Got a couple of pictures from the process of making them.

The image in Aspire, using the V-carving option. Used a 60 degree mill for the edges, a 4mm. straight endmill and a 2 mm. to get into the corners.

The image and the milled edge.

Total size is 38 centimeters by 47 centimeters

Very cool panels! Reminds me of the old Roy Lichtenstein stuff without the benday dots...

Franklin,

That's what I'm talking about! Roy was a pretty big deal when I was going to Art school... Think back to Warhol's soup cans and Claes Oldenburg's giant sculptures! People like David Hockney or Jasper Johns, and my favorite group, the Photorealists (Richard Estes, Don Eddy, Ralph Goings and Chuck Close to name a few). It was an explosion of styles and personalities...

Mike
