Postby gillzilla » Wed Jun 15, 2016 7:26 pm

Here's some photos i've taken during the different steps of this project. 4'x8' carved from 2" signfoam with 2" letters inserted .
was cut using 1/4" ballnose as roughing, 300 ipm travel 1" depth, 22,000 rpm. 30% stepover.
finished with 1/8" ballnose at 300 ipm travel and 22,000 rpm. 8% stepover
inserts glued in using urethane glue. all colors are enamels.
will be finished with a 4"x4" cedar frame.

The background surely separates it from the rest of the pack! Well done. Russ

it took about 14 hours for all the cnc work, and then about 2 hours of paint (thankfully i have painted long enough to be fast). then about 2 hours for putting together the frame and sealing it.
