Decorative scissors

Postby rscrawford » Tue Apr 19, 2016 3:53 am

A little different project from my normal work. I was asked to make a pair of decorative scissors to be used for photographs during ribbon cutting ceremonies by a local hospital foundation.

Walnut and maple, with a maple hinge pin (tried to make it look like a hammered rivet).

Someone requested the files for these scissors, so I'll post them here. They are in V-carve Pro format.

Thanks for the files, Russel. I will add these to my todo list. Looks like these would be fun to make and have on display at my market booths.

Here are dxf files for the blades and the handles (for someone who pm'd and can't open those other files with v-carve 7.5). The pin vectors are just two circles, so I didn't bother to include them. There is no info on bits or cut strategies with these vectors in dxf format, just the plain vectors.
