Where do you teach and how can we see your classes work? We love checking out other schools especially schools that are using Vectric.flatheadyoungin wrote:Thanks for sharing your student projects! I'll save some of the pics to share with my students for inspiration....
We are on:
Instagram @penguinmanufacturing (2-4 pictures a day of student work)
Twitter @penguinmake (mostly teaching thoughts)
Website www.penguinmanufacturing.com
I really recommend sharing student work on social media. It has been great for student engagement outside of classtime and they become very proud of their work. The vectric company is on both of those platforms and they post thoughts as well as sharing other's work. We have also posted to Instructables as well.

Excellent work. I almost expect that carving to be spouting a few "children".
I teach furniture design at the college level and also a digital furniture joinery class that uses Aspire for all the toolpath creation. Since we use Probotix-made CNCs I've posted photos of many sample joints, jigs and brackets for holding work, etc., on their forum. You can see joinery examples starting here: http://www.probotix.com/forum/viewtopic ... 4&start=10
I apologize for slow load times. Large photo files.
Search that forum for my user name (4dthinker) for other threads on jigs and brackets. All the examples were drawn up and tool pathed in Aspire.

We built a Joe's 5x10 and are just now really getting in to it. I just got 6 computers setup in my room- donations from our local plutonium enrichment facility So, we are just beginning. I've been climbing the learning curve myself.
