Have experimented before with white acrylic, no joy with the usual ball nose or vbits. Tends to produce a gummy mess. But I got some new engraving bits and decided to revisit this, glad I did. Much better results, this one is only 3x5" and it came out pretty nice. As you can see I went a bit too thin and busted through in a couple areas, and mere onion skin for the lightest areas ,,, But the detail is there, I consider this experiment a success and may try a full sized test next.
Are some issues with fuzzies as well, no doubt about it, acrylic simply does not machine as well as corian ,,, But hopefully I can minimize the problems with a little tinkering. White acrylic is a whole lot cheaper and easier to get than corian.

Isn't it fun to experiment!
Try running your router as slow as it will go and increase the feed rate [I use 12,000 rpm. I find spiral 3-flute bits work the best. Cast acrylic cuts really well. Dale
