I recently chainsaw carved a Garden Fairy, and subsequently got more orders. The wings are the most difficult part and slow the entire process down. So i committed to making designing them in Aspire and cutting them out on my CNC machine this afternoon. So the next Fairy will have CNC wings. Next on the list is a set of wings for some dragons I am carving.

Attached is a picture of one of the Garden Fairies with chainsaw wings, and a Dragon in process, and the first set of new Aspire wings fresh from the CNC.

These are 36 " long and carved Identically on both sides. Hope to follow up with the Aspire Dragon Wings next week.

AND WE ARE GOING TO VEGAS BABY ... IF THERE IS STILL ROOM TO SIGN UP TOMORROW.

Looks great :D
I am so envious of people with such talent and imagination.
I do not have an artistic bone in my body :(
I have a garden fairy named Sarah and her wings are attached with notches so they can be remove in increment weather.

Sweet Scott!!
I'm like Wolffie, and can't even manage to stain cedar garage doors evenly! :D
Wonderful carvings...and someone's pretty good with a paintbrush!

Scott,
Those are very impressive! It's great the CNC can help speed things along for you. The wings off the CNC look like they will fit right in.

The Dragon and the Fairy are carved out of 14" diameter spruce logs about 44" tall. the wings are 36" x 14" carved out of .75" panels from the Box store.
