Cigar Box Guitar - Triangular tuner neck

This is a somewhat different layout for the tuners that still puts the strings in alignment with the pegs, but one of the tuners faces opposite from the other two. The Grover tuners that I use come in three left side and three right side versions. This layout uses two left (#1) and two right (#2) tuners. There is room for a logo if you want to add one between the nut and tuners.

I made this neck in a shorter length for use on a recent project that will be first shown at the McGrews Aspire Camp, then made it longer for use with the usual cigar boxes. There are no 3D models in this one and there are zip files exported from Aspire V8 in Aspire and Vcarve Pro formats.

I like it, especially if you have mixed tuners laying around. I like your angled better because I ordered a package of 6 right sealed tombstone tuners from CB Getty for fifteen bucks (actually pretty nice quality, nut bushing type and very smooth, nice chrome) and also like the left side tuning all the same direction. The angled shape looks sharp too.

I agree with liking the angled version better than this one. I wish I could have done this arrangement with three of the same kind of tuner also. It can be done with a larger peg head shape though, and I'll work on it later.

It's different enough to be strange looking though. There was some madness in why I did it this way.

One of my sisters gave me a cigar box table lamp today. She found it at an antique mall and grabbed it for me.

I didn't post the DXF file because the size is 13.3 Mb and compressing it to .zip format doesn't shrink it very much, so it can't be uploaded here. The other thing I can do is upload it to the Downloads folder on my website and link to it here. I'll post the link in another reply shortly.
