The carved stick is 25" long (the top half of the stick) and was completed using the wrapping gadget.
There is a threaded connector and brass ring in the center, just like pool-ques.

Another antenna method that works if your ground is conductive is to use a metal water line for the ground. Don't use both together, it won't work and could cause static discharge.

Thanks Dale, As we don't have Aspire or indexer yet, on "to do" list(as insufficiently caffeinated "I think Dale's trying to "wrap" my poor brain":) ).
Black plastic to well head on water line, but stereo goes to copper rod earth ground through main panel.
