Screen for window
Just a quick share of a screen I made for small viewing window at the front door, thought it looks a bit better than a curtain.
Re: Screen for window
That looks awesome.

Re: Screen for window
Thanks Darren.
It just a piece of old 12mm MDF with 3 toolpaths.
1: Edge scallop with 6mm ballnose
2: V-carve with 135 degree v-bit
3: Cutout with 3mm endmill
First gave it a good sanding with sponge back sandpaper, followed up with a dark stain and some sanding sealer. Sprayed Rustoleum metallic gold over small sections at a time and immediately rubbed off the wet old on the high spots.
If you want to try the file, let me know. Its a very old Pain design from the 20's or 30's if I'm not mistaken. Took me about 6 hrs in total to get the vectors suitable for what I wanted. Another 3 1/2 hrs to machine and 1 1/2 hrs to finish off..............
Cheers
Kevin

Hi Mr MacMunn,
My name is not Darren, it's Kevin. You asked me a while back to post some of my work. Well, in a round about way, thanks for the compliment.
BTW, I still cannot find local a supplier for the gold leaf products you suggested! Will have to wait till I'm in Europe again
Cheers

Thanks,
