The rod and reels, Bear tracks and Trout our mine, made in Aspire. the rocks are the "stones" file from Textures in that come with Aspire in the clip art file. I modified the rocks to get some fatter than the flat file.

Here is a quick look at where the entire piece is going. these are just stacked because I have not seen all three components together yet. now a whole bunch of finish carving and sanding and all that other stuff. But you can start to see the theme and general composition.

i finished the mantel, this is it bolted together for an upcoming show, than off to installation in March. Fun project, all told about 44 hours in the Shark HD, dozens of tool changes, tile changes and a few errors that make me flinch.. but you can only see them when you zoom in .. so don't

I see from your back ground decor that you are an avid out doors man. That's great and your love for the out doors shows through in your work! I also love that you picked pine as your wood type. Your project is wonderful and I hope you will post a picture once you have this installed with all the finale decorations in place. I love your choice of art you chose, where they from clip art? You did a wonderful job something to be very proud of for many years to come.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, i am an outdoorsman and an artist, the CNC stuff came after we opened up a Cabin styles / Mancave Store in Alaska.

all the art on the mantel and verticals, excepting only the rock tiles in the verticals is original creation i made in Aspire. I have been painting and power carving for many years. Finding affordable CNC equipment has just added greatly to what I can make and sell.

all winter we are in Anchorage. All summer we go further north to a little Gallery in Willow, 70 miles north of Anchorage.
