We did three signs for a Financial Planners office remodel. We lucked into a warm day here in Ohio to do the installs. Glad I got them up before Christmas. The large sign is 10ft, made with two pieces seamed together.
I did ask about the bike on his logo and how that connected to financial planning, his family owned a local bike shop and he was always know as the boy from the bike shop, more of a personal icon for himself and his connection to the community.

That's sharp. Did you have any trouble blending the seam with the texture? I can't spot it in the picture.

After I was done with primer, some sanding and paint you can't see it.Impact Image wrote:That's sharp. Did you have any trouble blending the seam with the texture? I can't spot it in the picture.
I only glued the bottom 1/4-1/2 inch with gorilla glue so it wouldn't ooze out the top and so I wouldn't have to work with getting of the glue line.
The funny thing on this one is I accidentally ran the wrong tool path on the one half and it started the cutout of the other half. My luck I caught it fast and it only cut into the wood grained area, pretty easy to add some filler and sand and file to make it look like I didn't screw it up.

Very nice job! The next time you run your external profile with a v-bit, try clicking on the "corners" tab in profiling setup before calculating the toolpath, select 'switch on sharp corners'. It gives a more realistic carve than a routered look
