I know this is an old post but Oreo has just come to Australia :)
Please tell me what is so special about it that you make an Oreo money bank.
I just cannot see what is so special about it :(
Cheers

Oreo cookies are iconic in the USA, have been around for over a century ... Don't think you need to know much more than that about them.

I personally don't care for them, but I guess being "special" is in the eye of the beholder.

They have stood the test of time here, are widely recognized and adored by children, so that is why you see the interest in making various projects with them.

Kids, at least when I was a kid, like to pull them apart and lick the frosting out of them and then finish off the rest one half at a time...joe

I'm going to try and make one of these for fun. Maybe it will be a bank. I'm thinking of twist-to-open. Thanks!

As far as the real cookie is concerned, I don't feed stuff like that to my grandson. I also discourage his parents from doing the same. I grew up with all of this, but now we're all suffering medically from overdoing same. He's going to have a better chance to get old than I have, but I'll be explaining to him why.

Well, I bought a packet and I didn't think they were any different to what we already have here, so I was curius why they are having such a big advertising campaign here, even ice cream with oreo :o

You will find the .crv3d file in the first post of this thread, and later in the posts is the .crv version.

I have already designed an Oreo Cookie guitar but have not built it yet. (Or the Oreo Cookie yo-yo either Michael T.)

I did too Michael, due to a hectic summer, and now too many promised out CNC projects to get around to it anytime soon.

As for the guitar, it is designed with a four string magnetic pickup. Some of the construction details for the "cookie" guitar body (~10.5" diameter) have not been fully considered at this point, but the neck and other details are done.
