OREO COOKIE

Post by buck4 »

Hi All, its been a busy summer, now doing a lot of work for local schools, church's and non-profit org's. Making me pretty much also non-profile :D (and really enjoy doing it). Just finished a bunch of signs for a school and was contacted by a teacher. She stated they were having a OREO cookie stacking contest and ask if I would/could make a award for the winner. So I made a 6" Oreo cookie.
I will also attach the crv. file if you are interested.
Also want everyone to know I really enjoy your posts and projects...Buck

Buck-

That is one of the coolest pieces of work I have seen posted here. Thank you for posting the file - there will be a giant Oreo in the future for one of my grandchildren - maybe all of them.

Very nice and creative. I love to see original work like this. Was that two sided cutting, or do you have a bullnose profile bit that will give the undercut on the profile?

Thanks for the file. I'm thinking it'd make a neat cookie jar!

Guess I should of put a little more info in my post, (sorry) the OREO is made with some scrap 1/2" corian, a black and white. I selected all vectors and cut will 90 deg v-bit, then the out line of the oreo was cut using a .250 end mill. The center (white cream) was just a circle cut a coupe 100 th's smaller to give it the offset.
Just took the award (OREO) to the school and now have to make two more.

Thanks for the file.

Now, who's going to be first to make an Oreo cookie birthday cake mold?

Chocolate cake mix with a 3/4" thick layer of milk chocolate or vanilla icing in the middle.

I know this an old post, so not sure if information is still available. This would make a very nice keepsake box for one of my granddaughters who is a oreo nut. Only problem is I only have V-Carve Pro software. Is the crv. file still available?
