I have a purchased STL file that included raised text with very thin serif and the detail gets lost while carving. I'd like to remove the text down to the curved ribbon area and replace with a v-carved text. I've accomplished this in the past on flat consistent areas by cropping with a vector, remove area inside, and using that vector to create a new shape the height of the original. In this case I have a curved ribbon that is recessed and is proving hard to replicate the base shape. Any suggestions? I've thought about using another program outside of Aspire like MeshMixer, or ZBrush (which I don't own currently). I'd love to see a cloning brush included in Version 10 like the one is Corel Draw or Photoshop Hint, Hint.
