Anyone have a trick for Aspire to get a chamfered edge on a text component? I want to model it, not use a V bit toolpath after. I can get close but not exactly what I want. I got close with a U but the N is crazy town. I tried a 2 rail sweep and cutting the vector of the letter in half, didn't really work.
Ideas?

You could cheat by creating the 2D toolpaths to do it and then create the component from the toolpath preview.

If I’m understanding you correctly, just assign a Draft to the text (after making the text flat plane model). This will create a chamfered edge at whatever angle you want. Then create a model/component from the Toolpath preview (although you may not need to do that, since it will raster fine as-is.)

LGM’s solution is a good one too. All depends whether you need the entire “flat part” of the letters to keep their dimensions intact (applying Draft will - Limit height using the Angular modeling won’t...it will put the angle “inwards”, and reduce the flat part area of the letters. Draft places the angle outwards from the flat area.)

Is there a particular reason you want to do it this way? Just curious because it is going to increase your machining times considerably cutting them as a 3D model

I asked "something like that?" because there are obviously different solutions depending on what antennasDIY precisely wants to achieve.
As Martin, I'd like to understand why 2D (or 2,5D depending on your actual mood) is not a solution as it will not only be quicker but give a better finish.
Without other information, for me the best solution is using the "prism carving toolpath". But that's not modelling.
