Thread Cutting with On-Board Tools (continued story)

Postby Tailmaker » Tue Sep 25, 2018 10:04 pm

This is a continuation of the other "Thread Cutting" thread but since it became a bit more specific I thought I better start another one...
This is about making short triangular or ACME style threads with regular fluting or profile tool paths that can be used e.g. for threaded lids or height adjusting features or for short screws and nuts.
I was asked to share my spreadsheet that I used to generate standard tool paths for threading. Since I can not attach .xlsx spreadsheet files here I posted that on my web site.
Go to "Free Stuff" --> "Threading with....." and click the download button. Please take the time to read the recommendations and instructions.

Enjoy, GB

P.S.: Check the tool path with an air cut before taking it to the wood. You never know...
