Checking the last time I used a 3/8" bit on acrylic I find:

Bit: Onsrud 63-733
Flutes: 1
RPM: 18,000
Speed: 180 inches/minute
Depth of cut: 3/16 inch
Spindle: 5hp

It was a roughing pass for a 3D model. Onsrud suggests a 0.010 to 0.012 inch chipload for this cutter and that combination of speed and RPM should be 0.010 inch.

Hope this is a start. Really you should find the chipload for your particular bit and material then slot that into a chipload caclulator.
