Oh Wise Gurus!
I need to create single line vectors, "Not closed outline vectors" from a Jpeg file , I want to emulate hand engraving on soft metal. I don't need depth, I intend on using a drag bit to engrave the metal. I just can't figure out how to create the single line vectors without hand copying each and every line. The trace bitmap function outlines each line with a closed vector. Is there a gadget or some function to convert the lines to vectors? The example image is attached.

Something like this?
I bit traced the image then used Quick Engraving toolpath, Diamond drag, Fill with Offset.

https://online.rapidresizer.com/tracer.php will do centreline tracing of an image which you can then save and import.

If you have Corel Draw it also has a center line trace... save as .dxf
