I am making a sign and would like to adhere prism lettering to the base. So far either I am skipping a page in the book or something, I cannot figure out my problem.
Attached is the lettering I am trying to work with. What I keep getting looks like a double prism. Please, Can anyone shed some light on what I may be doing wrong??
Thanks Kathy

Re: PRISM LETTERS
Your file does not show the toolpath so I can only guess that you are probably cutting too deep.
I downloaded the file, created a toolpath using the default setting of 1" which was too deep.
A cut at .6" makes a perfect cut [minimum is .58"]
If you are talking about the peaks between the letters you can remove them with an endmill [requires a second toolpath]
Hope this helps

Re: Prism Letters
thank you dale and john. I will take a look at what you are telling me. I have watched the video, but I will watch it again. I am sure a good nights sleep will help.
Thanks again Kathy

Re: Prism Letters
This is what I get when I toolpath the "prism" toolpath - then I cutout.
Before the cutout the image "looks" confusing. It "looks" like a double prism.
Does this look correct?

Re: Prism Letters
Yes, what I kept seeing was a double prism. Finally figured it was an optical illusion. Thank you guys for helping. Don't know what I would do without you.
