New to XPS foam cutting

Postby farmertom » Sun Jul 03, 2016 5:12 pm

Hi,
I am new to cutting Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) foam. It is the pink foam at home depot. I am going to cut rc airplane parts from it. I have the 2 inch foam.
My questions for guys who have cut this stuff:
1. What is the best router bit to use? I have purchased a foam cutting bit from Tooltoday. Here is a link to 46272. Anyone with experience using this bit?
2. What feed rate, spindle speed is best?
3. What milling convention is best, Climb vs. Conventional?

Thanks for your input! :)
