A small ball is massive

Post by centurian »

Hi
First post.

I have an Openbuilds CNC Router and was looking for a software that would give me better graphics to work with. So I downloaded the free version of Aspire and I'm using it to see if it will work for me before forking out over £1200 for the full version. (I'm a pensioner)

I've worked my way through several of the tutorials on the website OK, but when I try to import graphics of my own I keep getting these over large graphics (See Attachment) that I'd put through Inkscape to be able to save it in DFX format after I'd traced the bitmap to Vector. When in Inkscape, I'm using the same dimentions (24" X 36" my safe cutting area as I used in Aspire). But as soon as I bring them into Aspire they blow up to an enormous size.

Perhaps someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can rectify the problem and move on.

Thanks a lot.

Michael.

Is it possible that you're importing in MM's and the job set up is in inches?
It will remember the last setting you used, or the default it came with.
Easy enough to G(roup) and resize after importing to the correct size.
Welcome to this great product and forum:)
