Return to Home/Start Position after completion?

Post by Gropen cnc »

After searching for existing posts on the topic, does anyone know how to program the router to return to the Home Position once the job is completed?
We're using an AXYZ 4010 with Aspire 8.

Thanks,

Darrell

Darrell...
Simply add the required code for your machine in the footer section of the post processor that you use.

Post processor editing guide is available from the help menu

Post processors are available from the file menu > Open Application Data folder then navigate to "PostP" folder. Edit postP's with Windows Notepad or text editor of your choice.

Thank you very much. Any threads with examples? I read the guide, but don't feel confident in my comprehension.

Hello Darrell,

Which post processor are you using with your machine?

The "AXYZ 4010 Arcs (inch) (*.nc)" that is included with the software,
includes moves to return the head to the home X,Y,Z position in the footer of the post processor.

If you are using the standard post processor, you would just need to enter in the coordinates
of where you would like the head to park in the X, Y & Z input boxes in the Home / Start Position section of the
Material Setup form. (Click the "Set" button in the Material Setup section of the Toolpaths flyout form.

I hope that this helps.
