Standing wave confusion

Postby oldwood » Fri Feb 06, 2015 5:56 pm

Hello everyone,

We have been playing with Paul`s Standing Wave program and have had some wonderful results. I just now tried running two panels the same to see if the periodic function was working on my panels. They are perfect end to end but side to side there are a couple of areas that don`t match up.

I used the outline vector to cut the panel and am quite sure I did not move the outline out of alinement.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another thing I have noticed is the router drops down in the field of the panel then routes in the x direction then comes back over the same area and over route it? Is this the way it works for everyone else? Might be something to do with my router controller software?

We would like to be able to produce some periodic panels for sale and produce some extra income for ourselves......and of course a little for Paul for his great program.

Thanks,
Gerry

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would update this as I have found a solution. I got looking at the preview in Aspire and it seemed like the vectors were not covering the board completely on the top and bottom even though I had set a 2" border. I increased the border top and bottom and it still looked too close so I turned the amplitude down to 75% from 100%. This seemed to now result in vectors that covered the complete panel. I ran the 2 panels and they sequence almost perfectly :D
