Vertical text
Vertical text
Hello all, been away from the forum for a while and Aspire, cant remember how to align text vertically. Its for a Pub door ( go figure ), or to clarify letters will read from top to bottom. TIA Dubliner

Re: Vertical text
Hi Neville,
Good to see you back.
When you are entering text in the text tool just hit ENTER after each letter.

Re: Vertical text
and Hello to you aswell Tim. Yes I tried that in a bounding box but still only got the first letter, I must have a setting wrong, or perhaps it works outside the box instead.

Re: Vertical text
I have never tried it with a bounding box. But it will work if you use the Create Text tool like shown in the picture. After you have created the text, you can position and size it as normal.
Re: Vertical text
You can use "text on a curve", but pick a vertical line instead of a curve, "also use keep text vertical" option. You will have to fix the spacing between letters when they go vertical.Dublinman wrote:Hello all, been away from the forum for a while and Aspire, cant remember how to align text vertically.
