Trouble getting lead-in and lead-out to work on open profile

I checked both the help files and the search on the forum, but can't seem to find much info about this problem.

I am trying to put a lead in and lead out on a open profile. (the ends of a board that have a radius transitioning into a angled straight line.) I can't seem to get the lead function to work any way I configure it.

I have 24 parts nested on the table, and I don't really want to draw extensions on the lines if I don't have to.

Am I missing something here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and accepted.

P.S.
After re-reading the help file, I have found that I cannot put leads on open vectors.
I guess if all else fails, re-read the help file.
