APPLY button in toolpath question

Post by Signtist »

When I change the depth per pass or speed, it changes all older jobs that I've saved too.
I want to set a certain speed for 1 job only.
How do I save this toolpath as is on this job?
Do I hit the apply button or not?

Signtist,
If you Select the tool and change its parameters and then hit okay or Apply, it will change the tool database.
So after selecting your tool for the toolpath. Press Okay and then use the edit button on the toolpath forum to change the information about the tool for toolpath.

Hi,

Changing the data in the tool databse will NOT change any older jobs unless you reopen the toolpaths and select the tool again from the tool database.

This is what the 'Edit' button is for on the tool section of the toolpath forms. It lets you edit the tool parameters for that toolpath only.
