saving paths... can you save for vcarve pro ?

Post by sawmiller »

i dont have aspire ..yet.
but i do have vcarve pro
and i see several examples i would like to bring into vcarve to modify or make.
does aspire have the ability to put out crv files that vcarve can open ?
i see lots of crv3D. but vcarve gags on those.
aspire can output this type of file ( crv)
please do that also when you give examples of files to play with.
thanks

Dan,

You cannot save a .crv file from Aspire. This has to do with the features that Aspire has and VCP does not. But Aspire can read .crv files from VCP directly.

But this is not a problem. You can export your 2D vectors (design) from Aspire using 3 different formats, which can then be imported into VCP and toolpathed.

If you need to read Aspire files directly with all the features, you will need to get Aspire. Which isn't a bad idea, you won't regret it!

tim,
i will get it eventually.
but there are a lot of users that are at the beginning stages, even newer than me :) that are just using the vcarve pro part of aspire, you don't need 3D all the time. but they have the ability to do 3D.
i think that vectric is missing something if there isnt downward capability... but that's just my opinion.
dan
ps a good example is if a guy wants help, with a simple vcarve question, he puts up a crv3D file, he's automatically excluded me from helping
