I frequently import customer graphics (mostly logos) into Aspire. I often get the following error message when importing eps files from Adobe Illustrator:
Failed to import vector data from EPS/AI/PDF file.
The file probably contains only bitmap data.
The artists who create these files usually swear they contain vector data. Looking at the files in a text editor, I see nothing obviously wrong.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for me ?
Is it possible that Aspire doesn't support some versions of EPS or Adobe Illustrator ?
Should I be asking customer's to "save as" a certain file type or version to maximize compatibility with Aspire ?

Problems Importing EPS Vector Files
Re: Problems Importing EPS Vector Files
Whenever I get that error I go into Illustrator and re-save it as a Illustrator 8 file and everything is fine. Your customers are using a newer version of illustrator that Vectric has a hard time reading. Have them resend it as a lower version.

You are always going to run into problems with Illustrator versions.
Work with .eps & .pdf, they are universal formats.
